Bhumika Saraswat is an independent journalist, filmmaker, and photographer based in India.
Her work spans social justice, gender, caste and the climate crisis. While she works across mediums, she emphasizes films and photography to make stories more accessible, often through long-term, visually-driven projects.
Bhumika’s work has been recognised by multiple international and national grants and awads. She received the RedInk Awards for Excellence in Indian Journalism for her documentary on sex workers as single parents. She also received the UN-Laadli Media Award for Gender Sensitive Work and the Human Rights Press Award’23 from Human Rights Watch.
