Hello,
Are you a journalist with a burning desire to uncover the truth? Do you have a story that needs to be told? If so, we’re looking for you!
The Reporters’ Collective is in search of a talented, passionate journalist to join our team in the second round of the TRC Investigative Reporting Fellowship. This is an opportunity to produce top-grade investigative work in English.
We are a collective of like-minded journalists dedicated to conducting in-depth investigations and shining a light on stories that matter. Our stories are original and time-intensive, often requiring scouring thousands of public records and spending months digging. Since 2019, we’ve uncovered more than a 100 stories, ranging from government corruption and political malfeasance to the hidden costs of technology and public policies. Our work has won recognition both in India and internationally.
For this second round of fellowship, we’re looking for someone with at least two years of experience to take on a challenging investigative project. We’re particularly interested in stories about India’s political economy, the environment, technology, governance, or public health. But we’re open to other ideas too!
As a fellow, you will receive a Rs.100,000 grant and the opportunity to work with our small, close-knit team. Applications will be accepted until August 25, 2024. The fellowship runs from September 2 to October 30.

We can’t wait to read your pitches!
